Saim Ayub reclaims top spot as T20 all-rounder

Published on: December 3, 2025 11:00 PM

Pakistan’s Saim Ayub has once again claimed the top position in the ICC T20 all-rounder rankings. He achieved this after a stellar performance against Sri Lanka in the Tri-Series final. Saim scored 36 runs and took a key wicket, boosting his rating to 294 points.

The new ICC rankings also highlighted India’s Virat Kohli rising in the ODI batsmen list. Kohli scored 135 runs against South Africa in Ranchi, moving to fourth place. He is now just 32 points behind leader Rohit Sharma. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma remains the top ODI batsman, followed by New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell and Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran.

In T20 bowling, Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed moved up four spots to fourth place. Another Pakistani bowler, Mohammad Nawaz, climbed to the 11th position. South Africa’s Marco Jansen ranked fifth among T20 bowlers and second among all-rounders. Simon Harmer made a significant jump, rising 13 places to 11th overall.

Saim Ayub’s rise reflects Pakistan’s growing strength in T20 cricket. His consistent all-round performances have helped the team secure victories in crucial matches. Analysts say his leadership in the field also inspires confidence among younger players and boosts team morale.
