Narcissist narrative poses security risk, says DG ISPR

Published on: December 5, 2025 5:35 PM

DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry congratulated the nation on establishing the Chief of Defence Forces headquarters, calling it a key step to strengthen synergy and coordination for military operations.

Addressing a press conference in Rawalpindi, he warned that a narcissist and delusional individual’s narrative has transformed into a national security threat, targeting Security Forces which previously defeated an army eight times larger in Operation Bunanyal Marsoos.

Without naming the PTI leader, he added that the individual’s ego and ambitions placed personal desires above the state, and their rhetoric risks creating divisions between the army and Pakistan’s citizens.

He highlighted that Pakistan’s armed forces represent all ethnic, cultural, and religious groups, with soldiers often coming from lower-middle-class backgrounds and making sacrifices for the nation’s safety and security.

The DG ISPR criticized the opposition for dragging security forces into politics, emphasizing that Pakistan has one armed force, which remains a crucial deterrent against threats like Hindutva extremists and Khawarij militants at the Afghanistan border.

He also noted that jail rules are being unusually relaxed, allowing convicts to meet freely, while warning that the political party’s insistence on negotiating with terrorists undermines the army’s counterterrorism efforts that protect civilians and security personnel.
