PM Shehbaz calls for unity, honors Army’s heroism

Published on: December 10, 2025 6:26 PM

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has urged Pakistan to embrace unity and end sectarianism. Speaking at the National Ulema Convention, he said mocking the armed forces harms the nation’s honor. Sharif emphasized that progress comes through hard work, determination, and collective effort, not superstition or magic.

He praised the courage and leadership of Pakistan’s armed forces. Sharif said the military achieved a decisive victory against the enemy, led by Field Marshal and COAS Syed Asim Munir. He credited every soldier’s effort and the nation’s prayers for the success in the righteous struggle.

The Prime Minister called for an end to sectarian discrimination, noting that some mosques still restrict worshippers from different sects. “National unity is essential for progress,” he said, warning that division undermines Pakistan’s potential.

Shehbaz Sharif also spoke about Pakistan’s economic recovery. He said the country is moving steadily toward growth, crediting both political and military leadership for preventing a crisis. He urged continued focus on development and stability.
