According to the Department of Tourism and Archaeology, more than 1.5 million tourists visited the plains and hilly regions of Azad Kashmir in 2025. Director General of Tourism and Archaeology, Chaudhry Mehrban, said adventure-seeking tourists flock to snow-covered areas such as Leepa Valley, Neelum Valley, Ganga Choti, and other mountainous regions during the winter season. The rising number of tourists has also created significant employment opportunities for local communities.

Officials added that efforts are ongoing to improve facilities and infrastructure, ensuring visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience. These measures aim to make Azad Kashmir an even more attractive and accessible destination for tourists.
