According to police and Pesco officials, the incident occurred near Adhmi Bridge where the employees were carrying out routine work on an electricity supply line. Pesco Bannu spokesperson Umar Ali Khan identified the injured as superintendent Umar Dar Ali Khan, lineman Noor Mohammad Khan and driver Eidullah Khan. They were rushed to Khalifa Gul Nawaz Hospital, where they were reported to be out of danger. Following the incident, Pesco Bannu circle superintending engineer Saeedur Rehman and a large number of employees visited the hospital to inquire after their colleagues.

District Police Officer Yasir Afridi confirmed that militants were behind the attempted abduction and said a timely police response prevented the attackers from succeeding. He added that search operations were underway in various areas to arrest those involved.
