98th birthday of ZAB celebrated at Sindh Assembly

The 98th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was commemorated at the Provincial Assembly of Sindh, by Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah, marking the occasion by cutting a cake.

Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah was joined by Deputy Speaker Anthony Naveed and Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh for Archives, Sarfraz Rajar

The ceremony was attended by a large number of Members of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh, including Sadia Javed, Nida Khuhro, Heer Soho, Muhammad Asif Moosa, Fayyaz Butt, Yousuf Baloch, Dr. Sikandar Shoro, Sumeta Afzal, Tanzila Umme Habiba, Imdad Pitafi, Syed Farrukh Shah, Pir Mujeeb, Halar Wassan, Jam Shabbir Ali, Muhammad Qasim Soomro, and Hina Dastagir.

Addressing the gathering, Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah said that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was the architect of Pakistan’s 1973 Constitution and a pioneer of people-centric politics, whose democratic vision continues to guide the country.

Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah emphasized that Bhutto empowered the common citizen by giving them a voice in national politics.

Secretary Provincial Assembly of Sindh GM Umar Farooq and Director General PAS Irfan Ahmed Memon were also present on the occasion.

The event concluded with participants paying homage to the historic sacrifices of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto for democracy, constitutional supremacy, and the rights of the people.

Mayor pays rich tribute to ZAB

Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab paid a glowing tribute to Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on the occasion of his birth anniversary, saying that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto lives on in the hearts of the people even today and that his name will always be written in golden letters in the history of Pakistan.

He said that Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto gave Pakistan the consensus Constitution of 1973, which provided the country with a strong democratic foundation. He added that the Quaid-e-Awam bestowed Pakistan with a constitutional identity, national dignity, and political awareness, and that his struggle for democracy and public rights remains a shining example.

Mayor Karachi said that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was the founder of people-centric politics, who brought the common man to the center of politics and declared the people to be the true source of power. He stated that Bhutto’s philosophy continues to serve as a guiding light for the oppressed and deprived segments of society, and that his struggle remains an enduring example for future generations.

He further said that the Quaid-e-Awam gave Pakistan a strong identity on the global stage and laid the foundation for making the country a nuclear power, thereby rendering national security invincible. He added that the vision of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto remains the cornerstone of the politics, struggle, and public service of the Pakistan Peoples Party.

Mayor Karachi concluded by saying that Karachi, along with the entire nation, continues to draw guidance from the thoughts, ideals, and people-friendly philosophy of the Quaid-e-Awam, and that his mission of public welfare, democracy, and social justice will continue until its complete realisation.
