All three matches will be played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on January 29, 31, and February 1, with the toss scheduled at 5:30pm and matches starting at 6pm. Australia’s T20I squad is set to arrive in Lahore on January 28.

“The series serves as crucial game time for both sides ahead of the T20 World Cup, where Pakistan are in Group A and Australia in Group B,” the PCB said in a statement, highlighting the importance of the matches for World Cup preparations.

This marks the third visit by Australia to Pakistan, following a three-match Test and ODI series in March-April 2022, and a solitary T20I at Gaddafi Stadium, which Australia won by three wickets. The team also played three Champions Trophy matches in Pakistan in 2025.

PCB Chief Operating Officer Sumair Ahmed Syed expressed excitement over the series, saying, “We look forward to hosting Australia for the three-match T20I series here in Lahore. It’s a blockbuster beginning to the year for Pakistan cricket fans, and I urge them to turn out in numbers to support both teams as they finalize T20 World Cup preparations.”

He added that Gaddafi Stadium has become a familiar venue for the Australian team, having hosted a Test, five ODIs, and a T20I since March 2022.

Series schedule (Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore):

  • 1st T20I: January 29, 6pm
  • 2nd T20I: January 31, 6pm
  • 3rd T20I: February 1, 6pm

The upcoming series is expected to offer a high-intensity contest and a final tune-up for both teams before the World Cup kicks off in February.
