PAF contingent joins Spears of Victory-2026 exercise in Saudi Arabia

RAWALPINDI: A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) contingent, including F-16 Block-52 fighter jets and dedicated air and ground crews, has arrived at King Abdulaziz Air Base in Saudi Arabia to participate in the multinational aerial combat Exercise Spears of Victory-2026, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated.

The exercise features participation from several nations, including Saudi Arabia, France, Italy, Greece, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It aims to enhance interoperability, operational synergy, and mutual understanding among the participating air forces. Key focus areas include large force employment, night composite air operations, integrated intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), and operations in advanced electronic warfare environments.

The PAF’s deployment involved a non-stop flight from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, demonstrating the Air Force’s long-range operational reach and expeditionary capabilities. During the exercise, PAF pilots flying F-16 Block-52 aircraft, equipped with modern avionics and Beyond Visual Range (BVR) capabilities, will engage with aircrews from other nations operating a wide range of sophisticated combat aircraft.

The participation of Pakistan’s air contingent highlights the PAF’s commitment to regional and international military cooperation. It also underscores the professional excellence of the Air Force and its ability to operate effectively alongside leading contemporary air forces in complex operational scenarios.

Through this exercise, the PAF aims to further validate its operational preparedness in a contested, technology-driven battlespace, while strengthening ties and collaborative capabilities with partner nations.
