According to the authority, all theory papers will be conducted between 9:00am and 12:00pm. The examinations will begin with Mathematics on Monday, March 9, followed by Urdu on Tuesday, March 10, English on Wednesday, March 11, and Science on Thursday, March 12.

PECTAA said schools will administer remaining Grade 8 subjects through the School Based Assessment (SBA) model using the Item Bank System (IBS) facility. It added that the detailed timetable for other SBA subjects, along with the End of Year Term Assessment 2026 schedule for other grades, will be issued separately.

The authority has outlined strict examination instructions. Candidates are prohibited from bringing calculators, mobile phones, smart watches or any electronic devices into examination centres. Students must reach the venue at least 30 minutes before the start of each paper to ensure smooth entry and seating arrangements.

For admission into the examination hall, students must present their B-Form and roll number slip. They are required to bring a blue or black ballpoint pen and a clipboard, while those appearing in the Mathematics paper must also carry their own geometry box.

PECTAA further clarified that candidates must write both objective and subjective answers only in the official answer booklet provided at the centre. No additional sheets will be issued under any circumstances, and students will not be allowed to leave the hall before the scheduled end time of the paper.

Officials said the unified schedule aims to ensure transparency, standardisation and smooth conduct of Grade 8 assessments across public and private schools in the province.
