Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday departed Islamabad for Saudi Arabia to attend the Open-Ended Extraordinary Ministerial Session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
The three-day session will take place at the OIC General Secretariat in Jeddah and aims to discuss the recent illegal measures by Israeli authorities in the Occupied West Bank.

During the session, member states will review Israel’s ongoing efforts to expand settlements, pursue annexation, and impose sovereignty over Palestinian territories, with Pakistan emphasizing the illegality of these actions under international law.
Deputy PM Dar will present Pakistan’s perspective on Israel’s attempts to convert areas of the Occupied West Bank into so-called “state land,” highlighting the impact of such decisions on peace and regional stability.

In addition to the main session, Dar is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with counterparts from various OIC member states to strengthen diplomatic coordination and discuss collective measures against Israel’s illegal practices.
Officials stated that Pakistan’s delegation aims to rally support for Palestinian rights, reinforce OIC solidarity, and urge immediate international action to prevent further annexation and unlawful settlement expansion.
