Punjab CBD allocates 55.9 acres for green development at NSIT City

Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), has announced another landmark eco-friendly initiative with the allocation of 55.9 acres for green area at CBD NSIT City which is being developed as Pakistan’s premiere and largest IT city. This strategic development underscores CBD Punjab’s commitment to balancing rapid urban growth with environmental sustainability.

The green area will be developed in three phases. The first phase will cover 42 acres, followed by 6.5 acres in the second phase and 7.4 acres in the third phase, where extensive plantation and park development activities will be carried out.

This large-scale green initiative is set to significantly enhance the natural beauty and liveability of CBD NSIT City, creating a healthier and more sustainable urban environment for residents, businesses and visitors alike.

Chief Executive Officer CBD Punjab, Imran Amin, stated: CBD Punjab is not only driving economic and urban development but is equally committed to environmental improvement. The allocation of 55.9 acres for green spaces at NSIT City reflects our vision of sustainable growth where progress and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.

He further added we are working in line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, ensuring that CBD Punjab plays a pivotal role in the province’s development while prioritizing environmental protection and urban excellence.”

CBD Punjab continues to take strategic steps to integrate sustainability into its development model, reinforcing its role as a key driver of Punjab’s economic progress and modern urban transformation.
