The International Cricket Council has announced the nominees for the T20 World Cup Player of the Tournament award, recognizing several standout performers who delivered remarkable displays throughout the competition. Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan has emerged as one of the leading contenders after producing exceptional performances with the bat during the tournament.

Farhan enjoyed a remarkable campaign, scoring 383 runs in seven matches while maintaining an impressive average of 76.60 and a powerful strike rate of 160.25. Moreover, his consistent batting helped Pakistan remain competitive throughout the tournament, establishing him as one of the most impactful players of the event.

Notably, Farhan made history by becoming the only batter to score two centuries in a single edition of the T20 World Cup. He reached those milestones against Sri Lanka and Namibia, demonstrating both control and aggressive stroke play under pressure.

Meanwhile, India’s Sanju Samson also secured a place on the shortlist after delivering several influential performances with the bat. In addition, England’s Will Jacks joined the nominees alongside South Africa’s Aiden Markram and Lungi Ngidi, who impressed with strong all-round and bowling contributions.

Furthermore, New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra and Tim Seifert earned nominations after playing key roles for their team during the tournament. Their performances with both bat and field helped strengthen New Zealand’s campaign and placed them among the competition’s most consistent players.

Additionally, the United States’ Shadley Fen Scolovik also received recognition for his valuable contributions during the tournament. The final award will honor the player who made the most significant impact across batting, bowling, and fielding throughout the T20 World Cup.
