Israel claims 200 strikes on Iran targets

Published on: March 15, 2026 1:46 AM

Israeli forces claimed over 200 strikes on central and western Iran in the past 24 hours. The attacks targeted missile launch sites, defensive systems, and military depots, aiming to weaken Iran’s defense capabilities. Officials said the operations directly affect Iran’s military readiness and the country’s broader security infrastructure.

Israeli fighter jets conducted the airstrikes, focusing on dozens of ballistic missile launch sites. Some locations were reportedly being prepared to fire toward Israel. Additionally, weapons depots and defensive systems were hit to reduce Iran’s operational capacity.

The Israeli army said nearly 400 attacks have been carried out in central and western Iran so far. Officials emphasized these strikes aim to weaken Iran’s government and military networks. They warned that operations will continue to undermine Iran’s strategic capabilities in the region.

The military campaign comes amid rising tensions in the Middle East after the US and Israel launched coordinated operations against Iran. Experts note that targeting defensive networks and missile sites may escalate the conflict and impact regional security. Iran has not publicly responded to the latest wave of airstrikes.

While civilian areas were reportedly not the primary targets, officials continue monitoring the situation closely. Analysts expect further strikes to focus on weakening Iran’s infrastructure and preventing potential attacks toward Israel. Observers say this campaign represents a major escalation in the ongoing regional conflict.
