
Iran has formally demanded compensation from the United Arab Emirates, accusing it of enabling United States military strikes against Iranian soil. Tehran claims that allowing its territory to be used constitutes an internationally wrongful act under global law.
Amir Saeid Iravani, in a letter to the UN Secretary-General, emphasized that the UAE bears state responsibility and must provide reparations, including compensation for both material and moral damages suffered by Iran.

This appeal follows seven previous complaints submitted by Iravani, protesting the use of airspace and territory by the United States and Israel in operations targeting Iran. Tehran highlighted the role of regional countries such as Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, and Kuwait.
Iravani urged these governments to adhere to the principle of good neighbourliness and prevent their territories from being exploited in future military operations against Iran. He stressed that such actions clearly violate international norms and escalate regional tensions.

He further detailed a February 28 US airstrike, conducted from bases in regional countries, which targeted southern Iranian provinces. Iravani described the operations as aggressive and inconsistent with the fundamental principles of international law, causing both civilian and material harm.
Iran’s demand signals a firm stance on defending its sovereignty while holding neighboring states accountable for enabling foreign attacks. Officials are calling for reparations and strict measures to prevent future violations of territorial integrity.
