CPSP earns praise from law minister

A delegation of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP) led by the President of the College, Professor Khalid Masood Gondal, called on the Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Senator Azam Nazir Tarar here on Wednesday. The delegation also included the Senior Vice President of the College, Professor Muhammad Shoaib Shafi, Director International Relations CPSP, Major General Professor Mazhar Ishaq, and Legal Advisor of CPSP, Dr. Iftikhar-ul-Hassan Shah. During the meeting, President CPSP, Professor Khalid Masood Gondal, gave a detailed briefing to the Federal Law Minister about the medical and educational activities carried out by the institution at the national and international levels. He presented the latest national and international updates of the college and said that the institution was playing a prominent role in providing specialist doctors in Pakistan and promoting modern medical research in accordance with international standards. The Federal Minister was also briefed about the organizational structure of the college, innovation in medical education and the future development goals of the institution. Federal Law Minister Senator Azam Nazir Tarar highly appreciated the excellent and valuable services of CPSP in the field of medical education and health. He said that the role of the college in producing high-quality expert doctors in the country and making Pakistan famous at the global level was commendable and exemplary. He assured the delegation that the government would continue all possible legal and administrative cooperation with the institution for the development of the medical sector and the resolution of the challenges standing in its way.
