US-Israel Strikes in Close Proximity to Pakistani Embassy in Tehran

Airstrikes struck areas near the Pakistan embassy and the residence of Pakistan’s ambassador in Tehran, raising concerns over the safety of diplomatic missions as the conflict in Iran intensifies.

According to reports, Israeli strikes targeted locations close to the Embassy of Pakistan Tehran and the residence of Pakistan’s ambassador Mudassir Tipu on Thursday night. Loud explosions were heard in the vicinity around 8:00 PM as the Iranian capital faced continued bombardment.

Despite the proximity of the હુમ strikes, all diplomatic staff remained safe. Sources confirmed that neither the embassy building nor the ambassador’s residence sustained any damage. Around 20 Pakistani diplomatic personnel are currently stationed in Tehran, and the mission continues to operate as usual.

The Iranian capital has been under sustained aerial attacks for nearly four weeks, with Thursday marking the 27th consecutive day of bombardment. The strikes are part of a broader escalation in hostilities linked to the ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States.

No official statement has yet been issued by Pakistan’s Foreign Office regarding the incident. However, the development comes at a sensitive time, as Islamabad is actively engaged in diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions in the region.

Pakistan, alongside Türkiye and Egypt, has been involved in shuttle diplomacy aimed at brokering a ceasefire between the United States and Iran. Officials say these efforts are ongoing despite the continued violence.

Diplomatic missions are generally protected under international law, and any threat to their safety raises serious concerns. While the Pakistani mission remains unharmed, the incident underscores the risks faced by foreign representatives operating in conflict zones as tensions continue to escalate.
