Yasir praised Mawra’s ability to cry convincingly on screen, noting that her voice during such moments deeply moves viewers. Responding to compliments about her “beautiful crying,” Mawra and her sister emphasized that it is not about appearance but emotional authenticity. Urwa explained that Mawra feels her characters’ emotions so intensely that audiences naturally connect with her performances.
Recalling their childhood, Urwa shared that Mawra’s tears often helped her get her way, adding a lighthearted touch to the discussion. However, she clarified that her sister’s on-screen impact comes from genuine emotional depth rather than technique alone.
When asked about her process, Mawra said she focuses on being truthful to the character and the director’s vision. She referenced a poetic verse about heartfelt expression having a lasting impact, underscoring her belief in sincerity. The actor also revealed that she prays before scenes, describing a sense of “magic” that helps bring emotions to life.
Discussing practical methods, Mawra admitted that actors sometimes draw on personal experiences or imagined scenarios to evoke tears. However, she stressed that she does not switch emotions on and off easily, instead fully immersing herself in the character’s feelings.
The sisters also spoke about their personal bond, admitting they become emotional when thinking about family, especially with their brother living abroad.
