
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has concluded his official visit to Saudi Arabia and is now travelling to Doha for high-level talks with Qatar’s leadership, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said on Thursday.

According to the PMO, the prime minister will hold a bilateral meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, focusing on strengthening cooperation between the two countries and discussing key regional developments, including ongoing efforts for peace and stability in the Middle East.

During his visit to Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Shehbaz met Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah, where both leaders reviewed the current regional situation and discussed ways to deepen bilateral relations. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also attended the meeting.

The discussions covered a wide range of issues, including political coordination, economic cooperation, and shared concerns over regional security. Both sides reiterated their commitment to further strengthening Pakistan–Saudi Arabia relations, which are rooted in long-standing historical, economic, and strategic ties.
The prime minister also visited Madinah, where he offered prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan, as well as for peace across the Muslim world. The PMO said special arrangements were made for the delegation during the visit, reflecting the close ties between the two countries.
Earlier, the Foreign Office had confirmed that the prime minister’s multi-country tour included visits to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Türkiye, where he is expected to participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum and present Pakistan’s position on key global issues.
Pakistan has been actively engaging regional partners amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, with diplomatic efforts focused on promoting dialogue and de-escalation between key stakeholders.

The visit to Qatar marks the next phase of the prime minister’s regional outreach, aimed at reinforcing economic and diplomatic partnerships and supporting broader efforts for regional peace and cooperation.
