Shaan Shahid and Meera Ji reunite for ‘Psycho’

Published on: April 20, 2026 11:19 AM

The legendary duo Meera and Shaan Shahid have reunited for the highly anticipated new psychological thriller film called Psycho. This cinematic project is generating massive industry-wide excitement as the promotional campaign builds toward its major official debut.

Audiences can expect the worldwide release of this ambitious production to take place on the upcoming date May 27, 2026. The film is strategically scheduled to hit the big screens during the festive period of Eidul Azha.

Shaan Shahid took on multiple responsibilities for this project, acting as the writer, the director and lead actor. During a recent press conference, the stars shared insights into the complex narrative which explores the deep human mind. The official trailer suggests that the story focuses on the fine line between true reality and various mental perceptions. A digital backdrop at the event featured the chilling line stating: “The real enemy lives in the mind.”

Meera appeared at the media event wearing a black blazer over a white shirt while looking quite confident and composed. She offered high praise for her co-star, describing him as a “visionary” and “a personality who shapes eras”.

Meera described the experience of working under his direction as an honour, noting that his dedication pushes collaborators to elevate their craft. She further stated that Shaan can “shape an era, recognise hidden talent and transform it into memorable art for the world to see.” Shaan explained that his film is an exploration of the mind rather than just being a very simple story.

He urged the viewers to engage with the emotional depth of the movie.

The director emphasised that Pakistani cinema must produce content that is both entertaining and intellectually engaging for everyone.

The supporting cast includes respected names such as Javed Sheikh, Sonya Hussyn, Nayyar Ejaz and Shabbir Jan.
