Sheikhupura: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari said that public service remains the central focus of the government’s politics. She said performance and delivery are helping build public trust in governance. She made these remarks while speaking to media in Sheikhupura.
She said temporary lockdowns were imposed due to unavoidable circumstances and would be lifted once conditions improve. She added that similar challenges have been observed in other countries as well. She also said the energy crisis had led to load-shedding, which would be resolved soon.

The minister said development work worth over Rs45 billion is underway in Sheikhupura. She added that similar projects are being implemented across Punjab to ensure uniform development in all cities and towns. She said the government is committed to balanced regional progress.
She highlighted ongoing initiatives under the “Suthra Punjab” program to improve sanitation systems. She said road networks, sewerage systems, water supply projects, and sports facilities are being developed under provincial programs. She added that beautification projects will transform urban areas.

She further said crime rates have declined due to improved policing and enforcement. She also mentioned new transport and rural development initiatives, including a green bus service and village improvement programs. She stressed that transparency and timely completion of projects remain government priorities.
