Gaza death toll rises above 72,000 amid Israeli strikes

Published on: April 30, 2026 10:45 PM

Israeli military operations in Gaza have continued, pushing the reported death toll above 72,000. The escalation has intensified the humanitarian crisis in the region. Civilians remain the most affected as air and ground strikes persist.

According to Arab media reports, at least two Palestinians were killed and eight injured in the past 24 hours. A drone strike in central Gaza’s Deir al-Balah also wounded six people. Therefore, violence continues despite ongoing international concern.

Since the ceasefire in October 2025, the situation has further deteriorated with continued casualties. Reports indicate 824 Palestinians have been killed and over 2,300 injured since that agreement. Meanwhile, military activity has remained active across multiple areas.

Overall figures show the death toll in Gaza has reached 72,601, with more than 172,000 people injured. The scale of destruction has overwhelmed local health and emergency services. As a result, humanitarian conditions are worsening rapidly across the territory.

Analysts warn that continued strikes are deepening the crisis and limiting access to basic needs. Aid efforts remain constrained amid ongoing hostilities. Therefore, international calls for de-escalation are growing stronger as civilian suffering increases.
