PM Shehbaz hopes Iran US talks bring peace

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed hope that Iran-U.S. talks will soon lead to lasting peace. He said successful dialogue could prevent further loss of lives in the region. The remarks highlight Pakistan’s diplomatic role and its impact on regional stability.

Addressing an international conference in Islamabad, the prime minister stressed the importance of peace and dialogue. He said Pakistan continues to promote trust and cooperation at the global level. The gathering, attended by religious scholars from various countries, reflected unity within the Muslim world. He added that Islam teaches tolerance, harmony, and brotherhood.

Referring to ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States, he said Pakistan helped bring both sides together. He described this development as a sign of growing international trust in Pakistan’s diplomacy. Moreover, he termed the talks a positive step toward long-term regional peace. He also appreciated the role of friendly countries in supporting the process.

The prime minister specifically praised Mohammed bin Salman for his efforts in advancing peace negotiations. He also acknowledged contributions from China, Turkey, and other allied nations. In addition, he highlighted the diplomatic role of Ishaq Dar. He further credited Asim Munir for facilitating ceasefire efforts.

He noted that it was the first time since 1979 that U.S. and Iranian leaders met face to face in Islamabad. He called the development historic and a major diplomatic achievement for Pakistan. He concluded that these efforts would be remembered positively and could shape lasting peace in the region.
