Dananeer criticised over bold promo look

Published on: May 7, 2026 5:07 AM

Pakistani actor Dananeer Mobeen has come under criticism on social media over her recent promotional look. The reaction comes as she promotes her upcoming film in the United Kingdom.

Dananeer Mobeen is currently busy promoting her upcoming sports film Mera Lyari, set in Lyari, Karachi.

The film has been written and directed by Abu Aleeha. It is produced by Waqas Hassan Rizvi and Sania Sohail, with Ayesha Omar serving as executive producer.

The film features a diverse cast including Samiya Mumtaz, Nayyar Ejaz, Trinette Lucas, Paras Masroor, Adnan Shah Tipu and Shoaib Hassan.

Mera Lyari is scheduled for nationwide release on May 8, 2026. The film aims to portray the real face of Lyari, highlighting emerging talent from the area.

During promotions in the UK, Dananeer unveiled her second look. She wore a two-piece grey tweed outfit featuring a structured jacket and a matching mini skirt.

The look was paired with black sheer tights and aligns with recent collections from high-street fashion brands.

The outfit quickly drew criticism online, with many users expressing disapproval of the bold styling.

Some comments questioned the shift in her appearance, while others used harsh language to describe the look. A few users compared her current style to her earlier image, saying it had changed significantly.

At the same time, some remarks also included taunts about her outfit choices, reflecting mixed but largely critical reactions.
