The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the Australia men’s cricket team will tour Pakistan later this month for a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series.

According to the PCB, the Australian squad will arrive in Islamabad on May 23 ahead of the opening match of the series. The first ODI between Pakistan and Australia is scheduled to take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on May 30.

The remaining two matches will be played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on June 2 and June 4. All three matches are set to begin at 4:30pm local time, while the toss will take place at 4pm.

The upcoming series will mark Australia’s first bilateral ODI tour of Pakistan since 2022, reflecting the continued return of international cricket to the country. Cricket ties between the two nations have increased in recent years, with both teams regularly competing in bilateral series and major ICC tournaments hosted in Pakistan.

Australia most recently toured Pakistan earlier this year for a three-match T20 International series held in Lahore. Pakistan secured a 3-0 clean sweep in that series at the Gaddafi Stadium, strengthening the hosts’ recent record on home soil.

The Australian side also travelled to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, where they played several matches, including a notable five-wicket victory over England in Lahore.

The ODI series is expected to attract significant attention from cricket fans, with Pakistan and Australia sharing a long-standing rivalry across all formats of the game. The matches will also provide both teams with an opportunity to test combinations and preparations ahead of future international tournaments.

Security and logistical arrangements for the series are expected to be finalised in coordination with local authorities before the Australian team’s arrival.
