Israeli air strikes in southern Lebanon have reportedly killed at least 31 people, according to Lebanese media, despite an ongoing ceasefire agreement aimed at reducing hostilities in the region.
Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported that the latest strikes took place on Friday across multiple locations in southern Lebanon, marking one of the deadliest days since clashes between Israel and Hezbollah resumed earlier this year.

The violence comes despite a ceasefire extension announced in April, which was intended to remain in effect until May 17. According to the report, several areas were targeted in the latest wave of attacks, including the Tyre district town of Tora, where two separate air strikes reportedly killed five people.
Emergency teams are continuing search efforts in the area after reports that a missing child may still be trapped beneath the rubble.

Lebanese sources also reported that an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle on a road in southern Lebanon, resulting in the death of a civil defence worker.
Additional strikes in villages located in the Bint Jbeil district reportedly killed five more individuals, while another attack on the town of Al-Sultaniyah left four people dead.
The reported casualties add to growing concerns over repeated violations of the truce arrangement and the worsening humanitarian situation in southern Lebanon.
Regional tensions have remained high following the renewal of clashes between Israeli forces and Hezbollah in early March. Both sides have exchanged fire repeatedly despite international diplomatic efforts to prevent broader escalation.
Lebanese officials and local media have accused Israel of carrying out near-daily strikes in southern parts of the country despite the ceasefire framework. Israel has not immediately issued a public response regarding the latest reported strikes.
The conflict along the Israel-Lebanon border has displaced thousands of civilians and damaged infrastructure in multiple border communities.
