Karachi likely to remain hot and humid for next three days

Published on: May 13, 2026 4:15 PM

Karachi and several other parts of Sindh are expected to experience hot weather conditions over the next three days, with temperatures remaining high and humidity levels adding to discomfort.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, most districts of Sindh are likely to witness hot and dry weather, while Karachi will continue to experience warm and humid conditions.

The department said weather conditions in the port city are expected to remain hot over the next three days, with elevated humidity making temperatures feel significantly higher than actual readings.

Officials added that strong winds may blow across Karachi today and tomorrow, which could offer limited relief during parts of the day. The maximum temperature in Karachi is forecast to reach around 39 degrees Celsius.

The weather department also noted that high heat combined with increased moisture in the air could lead to cloud formation in some parts of Sindh.

Inland districts including Dadu, Larkana, Sukkur and Ghotki may experience isolated dust storms, thunderstorms and light rain. Recent days have seen intense heat across Sindh, with several districts recording unusually high temperatures.

Karachi has also been experiencing rising heat intensity, with previous reports indicating that the city’s heat index has felt significantly higher than the actual air temperature.

Meteorologists advise residents to avoid unnecessary outdoor exposure during peak afternoon hours, stay hydrated and take precautions against heat-related illness.

The ongoing warm spell is part of a broader rise in temperatures affecting multiple regions across Pakistan as summer conditions strengthen.

Authorities continue to monitor regional weather patterns and may issue further advisories if heat conditions intensify.

Residents in Karachi and other affected districts are encouraged to remain updated through official weather bulletins and local alerts.
