The match entered a tense final-day battle as Pakistan resumed their innings at 316 for seven while chasing a difficult target of 438 runs. Rizwan remained unbeaten on 92 and continued to anchor the innings with calm and disciplined batting. Pakistan still required 81 runs for victory with only three wickets remaining.

All-rounder Sajid Khan provided valuable support at the other end, scoring 28 runs as the pair attempted to guide Pakistan toward an unlikely win. Rizwan also moved within eight runs of his fourth Test century.

Earlier in the chase, Pakistan suffered early setbacks before captain Shan Masood and Babar Azam steadied the innings. Both batters scored 71 runs each, while vice-captain Saud Shakeel was dismissed after failing to convert his start into a major score.

At one stage, Bangladesh appeared firmly in control, but a crucial 134-run partnership between Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha revived Pakistan’s hopes and pushed the contest into the final day.

For Bangladesh, spinner Taijul Islam led the bowling attack with four wickets, while Nahid Rana claimed two wickets.
