Israeli strikes kill more Palestinians in Gaza

Published on: May 26, 2026 11:00 PM

Gaza Strip witnessed fresh Israeli attacks on Tuesday as at least eight more Palestinians were killed, according to Arab media reports. Several others were also injured during strikes carried out in different areas of Gaza since morning. The latest violence highlighted continuing instability despite previous ceasefire efforts in the region.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, at least 906 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire announced in October 2025. Officials said repeated violations of the truce have contributed to rising casualties in recent months. The ministry warned that humanitarian conditions continue worsening as military operations persist across the territory.

Health authorities in Gaza stated that the overall Palestinian death toll since October 7, 2023, has reached 72,803 people. Thousands more have suffered injuries during the prolonged conflict between Israeli forces and Palestinian groups. Medical facilities in Gaza continue facing severe shortages of medicine, fuel, and emergency supplies.

International organisations and regional governments have repeatedly called for renewed ceasefire efforts and humanitarian access into Gaza. Aid agencies have also expressed concern over the growing number of civilian casualties, including women and children. Diplomatic initiatives aimed at ending the conflict remain stalled amid ongoing military escalation.

The conflict has triggered widespread destruction across Gaza and displaced large numbers of residents since fighting intensified in 2023. Analysts warn that continued violence could further destabilise the broader Middle East region. International pressure on both sides to pursue negotiations and reduce civilian suffering continues to grow.
