Naqvi reviews services during surprise visit to Karachi NADRA Centre

Published on: June 2, 2026 2:01 AM

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday paid a surprise visit to the NADRA Mega Center located in the Safora area on University Road in Karachi, where he reviewed public service facilities and interacted directly with citizens visiting the center for the processing of identity cards and other official documents.

During the visit, the interior minister inspected various sections of the facility and assessed the quality of services being provided to the public. He met with citizens who had come to obtain National Identity Cards and other essential documentation, seeking firsthand feedback regarding their experience at the center.

Mohsin Naqvi inquired about the efficiency of the document-processing system and asked visitors whether they were facing any difficulties during the application and issuance procedures. Citizens present at the center expressed satisfaction with the facilities and services being provided. Several visitors stated that they did not have to endure long waiting times for the processing of identity cards and other documents, adding that their turns arrived on schedule and that the staff members were cooperative and helpful throughout the process.

The minister personally visited different service counters within the center and held discussions with a number of elderly citizens. He listened to their concerns and sought information regarding any issues they might be facing while obtaining services. Emphasizing the importance of facilitating vulnerable segments of society, Naqvi directed the relevant authorities to ensure that the cases of senior citizens and women are handled on a priority basis to minimize inconvenience and improve service delivery.

The visit was aimed at evaluating public service standards and ensuring that citizens receive efficient and timely assistance. Officials accompanying the minister briefed him on the operational procedures of the center and the measures taken to streamline document processing and reduce waiting times.
