The veteran singer also released a written statement urging the public not to share unverified information. She clarified that reports claiming she had passed away were entirely false.

“Alhamdulillah, I am alive, well and in good health. I request everyone not to share this false news and to help correct the misinformation wherever it appears,” she stated.

Syed expressed gratitude for the support she received after the rumours began circulating, saying she was deeply touched by the concern, affection and kindness shown by friends, family members and fans who reached out to check on her wellbeing.

Several prominent figures from Pakistan’s entertainment industry also helped counter the misinformation. Fashion designer Hassan Sheheryar Yasin shared a photograph of the singer and confirmed that she was in good health. Veteran actress Bushra Ansari also shared Syed’s video message on social media to reassure fans.

False reports about the deaths of public figures occasionally spread online, often causing confusion and distress. Similar incidents have affected several celebrities in recent years, including Indian actor Dharmendra and Pakistani actress Sakina Samo.
