Iran denies US claims, says fully prepared

Published on: June 11, 2026 7:27 PM

Iran has rejected US claims that its defence systems were destroyed and said its armed forces remain fully prepared. The statement matters because it comes amid rising US-Iran tensions and conflicting battlefield narratives. Military forces, regional security, and global stability are directly affected by the dispute.

Iranian Armed Forces spokesman Abolfazl Shekarchi dismissed US statements aired by President Donald Trump. He said Iran’s defensive capabilities remain intact and operational. He urged focus on battlefield realities rather than enemy narratives. The comments were reported by Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB.

Shekarchi said Iran continues to strengthen its military capabilities despite ongoing threats. He claimed the country is stronger than at the start of what he described as imposed conflict. He also rejected claims that missile stockpiles had been depleted. He said such reports aim to mislead and gather intelligence.

The spokesman further said Iranian forces have inflicted significant losses on opposing forces. He added that Iran remains committed to supporting regional allies, including Hezbollah. He described the so-called resistance front as united against shared adversaries. He also warned that Iran maintains multiple strategic options if needed.

Meanwhile, tensions remain high following earlier US statements about strikes on Iran. Trump had claimed Iran’s military infrastructure was severely damaged. However, Tehran continues to deny any major degradation of its defence systems. Further statements from both sides are expected as the situation develops.
