Rs 6.65 billion earmarked for industries, production projects

The federal government will spend around Rs 6.657 billion on 10 projects of the Industries and Production Division under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) during the upcoming financial year 2026-27. According to a budget document released here on Friday, an amount of Rs.4.881 billion has earmarked for the development of Block-A (500 acres) of Phase-I (1500 acres) of The Karachi Industrial Park (Federal SEZ) on approx. 6400 acres of Pakistan Steel Mills Land, Karachi. The government has allocated Rs.300 million for acquisition of land for establishment of SME Facilitation Centers at various locations while Rs 294.311 million earmarked for National Strategic Programme for Acquisition of Industrial Technology (NSPAIT) all over Pakistan.
