The federal government has allocated a sum of Rs 10,902.500 million in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for fiscal year 2026-27 for 19 ongoing and 12 new schemes for Defence Division.
According to the budgetary document PSDP released here on Friday, for ongoing schemes, an amount of Rs 2,550 million has been earmarked for New Gwadar International Airport, Rs 1000 million for modernization of Hydromet Services of PMD in Pakistan, Rs 1,152.500 million for NIHD Center of Excellence for Preventive Cardiovascular Research and Development.
Rs 1,053.800 million for Quantum Valley Pakistan (Phase-1), Rs 1,000 million for expansion of Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology and National Institute of Heart Diseases (AFIC-NIHD) Rawalpindi, Rs 500 million for construction of Rain Water Harvesting Dam at Islamabad International Airport and Rs 340 million for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles System for Law Enforcement, Emergency Search and Rescue and Pollution Control Mission in the PSDP for year 2026-27.
Similarly, for new schemes, a sum of Rs 500 million has been allocated for the establishment of National Defence University FCS Campus at Defence Complex Islamabad, Rs 200 million for up-gradation of IT infrastructure at the Faculty of Security Studies at NDU, Rs 180.202 million for the establishment of FG Public School at DCI and Rs 100 million for feasibility and detailed design for Airport in Mirpur (AJK).
Meanwhile, the government has also specified a total of Rs 979.840 million for two ongoing schemes of Defence Production Division in PSDP-2026-27.
A sum of Rs 820.939 million has been allocated for the infrastructure up-gradation of KS&W and Rs 158.901 million for the establishment of the Project Management Cell (PMC) for the creation of the Shipyard at Gwadar.
