Rupee gains three paisa against dollar

The Rupee on Friday appreciated by 03 paisa against the US Dollar in interbank trading and closed at Rs 278.32 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 278.35. According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 278.45 and Rs 279.35, respectively. The price of the Euro against the rupee increased by Rs 0.66 and closed at Rs 321.96 from the previous day’s closing of Rs 321.30, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Japanese Yen remained unchanged to close at Rs 1.73, whereas the exchange rate of the British Pound witnessed an increase of Rs 0.50 and closed at Rs 372.93 compared to the previous day’s Rs 372.43. The exchange rate of the Emirate Dirham remained stagnant at Rs 75.78, while the Saudi Riyal declined by 01 paisa to close at Rs 74.14.
