Good News Expected Soon on Iran-US Agreement, PM and Field Marshal to Represent Pakistan: Mohsin Naqvi

Published on: June 14, 2026 12:53 AM

Mohsin Naqvi

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that tensions between Iran and the United States are likely to ease soon, with efforts underway to reach a peaceful resolution. He stated that positive developments regarding the Iran-US agreement are expected within the next one or two days.

Speaking informally in Lahore, Mohsin Naqvi said that talks between Iran and the United States are moving in a positive direction. According to him, an encouraging announcement could be made soon, which would contribute to peace and stability in the region.

The interior minister said that the dispute between Washington and Tehran is close to being resolved and that both sides are expected to reach a settlement. He added that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir will represent Pakistan in matters related to this important diplomatic process.

Mohsin Naqvi also spoke about fuel prices, saying that the government had managed to keep oil prices stable through careful planning. He noted that without these measures, petrol prices could have increased by as much as Rs250 at one time.

It is worth noting that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently stated that the United States and Iran are very close to a peace agreement and that it is expected to be finalized within the next 24 hours. He added that technical-level talks will take place soon and expressed confidence that the Iran-US agreement will provide a strong foundation for lasting peace, stability, and cooperation across the region.
