The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), in collaboration with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), have launched an online birth and death registration service through the Pak ID App, enabling residents of Islamabad to register births and deaths and obtain certificates without visiting government offices.
The facility was formally inaugurated by Chief Commissioner Islamabad and CDA Chairman Sohail Ashraf here Saturday. Senior officials of MCI, CDA and NADRA attended the ceremony.
According to officials, the new service allows citizens to complete the entire process online, including submission of applications, secure payment of fees and receipt of digital certificates through the Pak ID App.
During a briefing, officials said residents would no longer be required to visit MCI offices or union councils for birth and death registration, as applications could now be submitted from home.
