
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Pakistan’s role in Iran-US war said the country’s efforts during the recent conflict would be remembered for generations. Speaking to the media in Sialkot, he said Pakistan played an important part in promoting peace and helping ease tensions between Iran and the United States.
Khawaja Asif said Ashura has come at a time when the region recently witnessed a major conflict. He added that the Iranian people had once again reflected the spirit and sacrifice associated with Imam Hussain (AS) and the martyrs of Karbala.
The defence minister said Pakistan’s contribution during the conflict would always be remembered. According to him, Pakistan helped facilitate peace efforts and earned respect across the Muslim world for its diplomatic role.
He also expressed hope that the people of Lebanon would find relief from violence and conflict. Khawaja Asif prayed that Muslims facing oppression in different parts of the world would gain peace, justice, and freedom.
Concluding his remarks, Khawaja Asif on Pakistan’s role in Iran-US war said Pakistan’s peace efforts demonstrated its commitment to regional stability and dialogue. He added that promoting peace through diplomacy remains in the best interest of the region and the wider Muslim world.
