Israeli airstrikes on areas sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have reportedly killed at least six people, including a young mother and her one-year-old child, as the humanitarian situation in the enclave continues to deteriorate.
According to Arab media reports, the latest strike targeted tents housing displaced families in the Al-Mawasi area of southern Gaza, where many civilians had sought refuge after fleeing other parts of the territory. The attack reportedly killed six Palestinians and injured dozens more.
In a separate incident in Deir al-Balah, an Israeli airstrike reportedly claimed the lives of three Palestinians, including a child. Rescue teams and medical workers continued efforts to recover victims and treat the injured following the attacks.
Violence was also reported in the occupied West Bank, where Palestinian sources said Israeli forces shot and killed a 15-year-old boy during operations in the city of Ramallah. Another teenager, identified as Amir Ahmed Jawad Jaber, was reportedly fatally shot in the Umm al-Sharayet area of Al-Bireh during an Israeli military raid.
The latest incidents come amid ongoing fighting that has resulted in heavy civilian casualties and widespread destruction across Gaza. Thousands of displaced families continue to live in temporary shelters and tent camps, facing shortages of food, water, medical supplies and other essential services.
Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said lasting peace in the Middle East cannot be achieved without resolving the Palestinian issue. He argued that regional tensions would persist unless the occupation of Palestinian territories comes to an end.
The conflict has continued to draw international concern, with humanitarian organisations repeatedly calling for greater protection of civilians and increased access for aid deliveries. Diplomatic efforts to secure a lasting ceasefire have so far failed to produce a permanent breakthrough, while the humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to deepen.
The latest attacks add to the growing civilian toll as international calls for restraint and renewed negotiations remain ongoing.
