Candidates Mahnoor Soomro, Nasir Hussain Wadho and Jai Pal Malhi jointly topped the MPhil pre-entry test, while Iman Haider and Abrar Ahmed Khan shared first position in the PhD test as the University of Sindh announced the results of its spring 2026 admissions entry examinations.
The results were announced by the Director, Sindh University Testing Centre, Dr Aftab Chandio and have been uploaded to the university’s official website. According to the results, a total of 362 candidates appeared in the MPhil pre-entry test for admission to 38 academic departments. Of them, 192 candidates secured the qualifying score of 50 marks or above. In the MPhil category, Mahnoor Soomro, Nasir Hussain Wadho and Jai Pal Malhi, all from the Department of Zoology, jointly secured first position with 76 marks out of 100. Shahid Noor Tunio of the Department of Commerce stood second with 75 marks, while Shamil Baig of the Department of Development Studies claimed third position with 74 marks.
For admissions to 33 PhD programmes, 127 candidates appeared in the pre-entry test, of which 30 obtained the qualifying score of 60 marks or above. In the PhD category, Iman Haider of the Department of Psychology and Abrar Ahmed Khan of the Department of Commerce jointly secured first position with 79 marks each. Mumtaz Hussain Solangi of the Department of Genetics stood second with 77 marks, while Zakir Hussain Malkani of the Department of Commerce and Razia Sultana Channa of the Department of Sociology shared third position with 76 marks each.
