Christine shares 11-year-old twins, Penelope and Leo, and eight-year-old Felicity with her former husband, Paddy McGuinness. Although the couple separated, they continue living together in the family home to provide stability and consistent support for their children. Their parenting arrangement reflects a shared commitment to meeting the family’s needs despite the end of their marriage.

Speaking candidly during the podcast, Christine explained that her greatest concern is ensuring her children can confidently manage life without her one day. She said she cannot imagine life without them, yet understands that her role as a parent is to prepare them for independence. She added that this responsibility becomes even more important because of their additional support needs.

Christine also emphasized that every parent hopes their children grow into happy and capable adults, but her focus remains on helping them develop practical life skills. She believes building confidence and independence will give them the best chance to navigate future challenges. Her heartfelt comments highlighted both the emotional weight and the long-term commitment involved in raising neurodiverse children.

The television personality has frequently used her public platform to raise awareness about autism and the experiences of families caring for neurodiverse children. Through honest conversations about parenting, she continues to encourage understanding while drawing attention to the everyday realities, responsibilities, and emotional resilience required to support children with additional needs.
