KASUR: Father of 7-year old Zainab, who was raped and murdered earlier this month, has claimed that the main accused Imran Ali is a member of global child pornographic mafia.
In an interview with Arab News, Amin Ansari said that Imran is a member of global mafia that distributes child pornographic material, while he also accused the government of deliberating trying to conceal the information.
“Ali is not alone in this crime. Our investigations in the area reveal he is part of a pornographic ring who sexually assault children, shoot them and sell the videos in international market,” Ansari claimed.
“The government is trying to hide the details and are presenting Imran as a lone wolf for face-saving or to protect some vested interests,” he added.
Punjab government spokesperson Malik Ahmed Khan has, however, refuted Ansari’s allegations saying that the investigation team has not found any links of Imran with pornographic mafia.
“The investigators have so far not found any link of Imran with any child pornographic ring. Imran has acted alone in the case, but investigations are still under way,” said Malik Ahmed.
7-year-old Zainab was found dead from a heap of garbage in Kasur on January 4. The autopsy reports had proved that the girl had been raped before murder.
The main accused in Zainab rape and murder case, Imran Ali, was arrested on January 23.
