Provision of basic facilities to masses foremost priority of govt: President Alvi

ISLAMABAD: The President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi said that government has prioritized the provision of basic facilities to the common man, besides improvement in economic situation of the country.

The President expressed these views while talking to Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry at Aiwan-e-sadr today.

President Alvi stressed that he would paly a pivotal role in government efforts towards improving the education and health facilities and hoped for accomplishing his duties as per the constitution.

Arif Alvi lauded the fund raising campaigns of the prime minister and chief justice for the construction of Diamer and Bhasha dams.

The president emphasized on the rapid tree plantation scheme to reduce the harmful impacts of climate change on emergency basis.

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry congratulated the President on getting charge of the President office as state head.

Fawad said that information ministry would make all possible efforts towards the implementation of the vision of the president and prime minister.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Iftikhar Durrani and Senator Faisal Javed were also present on the occasion.
