Shahzad, Nabi drive Afghanistan to 252/8 against India

DUBAI: Afghanistan have set India a 253-run target to chase. Mohammad Shahzad’s 124 and Mohammad Nabi’s 64 have been the driving factor in Afghanistan’s innings.

Afghanistan managed to score 252 runs for the loss of 8 wickets against India in their final match in Asia Cup 2018 at Dubai International Stadium.

Afghan opener and wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Shahzad scored a brilliant century as Afghanistan scored 258/8 in 50 overs. Shahzad was well supported by Mohammad Nabi who also scored a fifty to take the team to a respectable total.

For India, Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets while Kuldeep Yadav has sent to batsmen back to pavilion.

Earlier Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first against India. This was the last match for both the sides in the Super 4 phase of Asia Cup 2018.

India have managed to make their way to the final of the tournament while Afghanistan after losing their matches to Pakistan and Bangladesh were unable to make it this time.
