Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world: VC-Sindh varsity

HYDERABAD: “I am amazed to witness the exceptional talent of the pupils studying at Dr N.A. Baloch Model School University of Sindh, Hyderabad,” said Vice-Chancellor, University of Sindh, adding that the quality, character and caliber of the skits performed by the school children were nowhere less than excellent; which reflected the unusual confidence and competence of the students.

This he said in his remarks at the eve of a cultural day program organized by Dr N.A. Baloch Model School Hyderabad at its premises.

The program was presided over by VC-SU Prof Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat, while Dr Syed Abdul Qadir, Shah Director Private Schools Hyderabad Region was the Chief Guest, whereas SU Registrar Prof Dr Muhammad Saleem Chandio and Dean Faculty of Education Prof Dr Saleha Parveen were the guests of honor at this occasion.

In his presidential address, Dr Burfat further said that he was proud of the pupils of Dr N.A. Baloch Model School, Hyderabad and considered them as his real power. He said he also believed in the unprecedented power of education, which alone possessed the capacity to change the world.

Citing Nelson Mandela, he “Education was the only instrument by exploiting which one could conquer the world.”

“Along with the power of education is the immense power of the prayers of a mother. A mother’s prayer could transform your lives, hence, you should always be grateful, kind, loving and caring to your parents and keep seeking their blessings,” Dr Burfat said.

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Shah said that only those nations had excelled in the world that had easy access to quality education and command in use of technology. He said that empowerment of women was always a result of education.

He termed women empowerment and education necessary for each other. Shah congratulated school principal Rashid and his team upon successfully organizing cultural day at the school. He said that the people of Jamshoro and all stakeholders of University of Sindh were fortunate to have got an exceptionally meritorious and personally upright individual like Dr Burfat.

“If we want to conserve our culture, we need to seek education. This is the only way forward”, he urged.

The school principal Ahsanullah Rashdi said that education must be accorded top priority it deserved. He also extended welcome to the learned guests. Those who attended the program included SU Director Finance Dr Hakim Ali Mahesar, ISO Certification Cell In-charge Dr Ameer Ali Abro, Director SU-IBA Dr Abdul Sattar Shah, Principal SPAS Model School Jamshoro Dr Farida Shaikh, SU In-charge Transport Syed Sajjad Hussain Shah, SU Inspector Colleges Ghulam Nabi Kaka and others.
