ZTBL set women’s T20 Championship final date with SBP

Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) and State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) qualified for Friday’s final in the 2nd Inter-Departmental T20 Women’s Cricket Championship 2019 after winning their last league matches at the Diamond Ground here on Wednesday. In the first match of the day, ZTBL’s Almas Akram took three for 10 to dismiss the PCB XI for 80 in 19.5 overs. Sana Mir then scored less than run-a-ball 27 not out with four fours and Nida Dar chipped in with 27 as the bankers achieved victory in 11 overs. In the second match, SBP rode on an unbroken 153-run second wicket partnership between Sidra Amin and Hafsa Khalid to collect 167 for one and then restricted Higher Education Commission (HEC) to 137 for four to win by 30 runs. Sidra scored an entertaining 86 not out that came off 53 balls and included 14 boundaries, while Hafsa matched her partner shot by shot while scoring 66 off 57 balls with six fours and a six. HEC’s run-chase was dominated by Sana Urooj, whose 64 not out came off 55 balls and included six fours and a six. Khadija Chishty contributed a 34-ball 28.

1: ZTBL beat PCB XI by seven wickets

PCB XI 80 all out, 19.5 overs (Kainat Hafeez 23 (26b, 4×4); Almas Akram 3-10) VS ZTBL 81-3, 11 overs (Sana Mir 27 not out (26 balls, 4×4), Nida Dar 27 (17b, 3×4, 2×6). Players of the match: Nida Dar and Almas Akram (ZTBL).

2: State Bank beat HEC by 30 runs

State Bank 167-1, 20 overs (Sidra Amin 86 not out (53b, 14×4), Hafsa Khalid 66 not out (57b, 6×4, 1×6) VS HEC 137-4, 20 overs (Sana Urooj 64 not out (55b, 6×4, 1×6), Khadija Chishty 28 (34b, 3×4). Player of the match: Sidra Amin (State Bank).
