Gold prices drop by Rs2,245 per tola in Pakistan, silver inches up

Published on: June 18, 2025 5:33 PM

Gold prices in Pakistan continued to fall on Wednesday, following a downward trend in the international market. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs2,245, bringing the rate down to Rs383,055.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold also decreased by Rs1,925, now standing at Rs307,831. This marks a sharper decline than the day before, when gold fell by Rs1,000 per tola on Tuesday to reach Rs361,300.

The fall aligns with the dip in global gold rates. On Wednesday, the international price of gold was recorded at $3,378 per ounce, including a $20 premium—a drop of $20 from the previous day.

Despite the dip in gold, silver prices rose. The rate for silver per tola went up by Rs22, reaching Rs3,878. This slight increase in silver comes as a contrast to the ongoing volatility in gold markets.
