Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has declared India as the region’s biggest supporter of terrorism. He said Pakistan gave a strong and timely reply to India’s aggression. This response ranged from the Line of Control in Kashmir to Pakistan’s coastline. According to him, Pakistan stood on the side of truth, and God helped the nation. He made these statements during a meeting with officers of the 52nd Common Training Program.
The Army Chief discussed national unity and institutional harmony during his detailed conversation with the young officers. He emphasized that internal and external challenges must be handled with a united front. He stressed that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to face modern-day threats. He made it clear that Pakistan will never accept India’s dominance, now or in the future.
He strongly criticized India’s treatment of minorities, especially Muslims. He said India’s own actions have created terrorism within its borders. He urged the nation to remain firm and never bow down to pressure from its eastern neighbor. “We have never surrendered to India, and we never will,” he stated with conviction.
Talking about Afghanistan, Field Marshal Munir expressed a desire for peaceful relations. However, he asked Afghanistan not to allow Indian-backed terrorist groups to operate on its soil. He referred to these groups as “Fitna-e-Hindustan” and “Fitna-e-Khawarij.” At the same time, he called Afghanistan a brotherly Islamic country and hoped for cooperation.
In his closing remarks, he advised the young officers to put national identity above all else. He urged them to stay loyal, honest, and professional in their duties. He also said that character should be given more value than anything else. Officers were reminded that forgetting national history can lead to a dark future. The Army Chief praised the key role of civil bureaucracy in running the country and encouraged officers to serve with dedication.
