ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will depart for Baku, Azerbaijan, today to attend the two-day 17th Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) summit starting tomorrow. The summit will focus on a sustainable and climate-resilient future.

During the event, Shehbaz Sharif will lead Pakistan’s delegation and present the country’s views on important regional and global issues. He aims to highlight Pakistan’s role in promoting peace and development within the ECO member states.

Moreover, Shehbaz Sharif will hold bilateral meetings with other ECO leaders on the sidelines of the summit. These talks will focus on enhancing trade, transport connectivity, and energy cooperation among member countries to boost regional integration.

Pakistan will also reaffirm its dedication to the ECO Vision 2025 during the summit. The Prime Minister plans to advocate for stronger economic ties and sustainable development initiatives that benefit all ECO nations.

This visit highlights Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to strengthen regional partnerships and collaborate on key challenges affecting South and Central Asia. The summit offers an important platform for dialogue and cooperation among ECO countries.
