ATC extends Bushra Bibi’s interim bail in 31 cases until august 12

Published on: July 10, 2025 4:53 PM

RAWALPINDI – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Thursday extended the interim bail of Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, in 31 separate cases till August 12.

Judge Amjad Ali Shah presided over the hearing, which involved cases linked to protests that took place on November 24 and 26. Bushra Bibi’s legal counsel, Advocate Muhammad Faisal Malik, appeared in court, while Prosecutor Zaheer Shah represented the state.

During the hearing, Advocate Malik argued that Bushra Bibi had not been included in the investigation, despite her husband’s ongoing custody. He added that the court had already ordered her inclusion in the probe, but the investigating officer failed to comply.

Malik also pointed out that Bushra Bibi continues to remain in Adiala Jail without being formally questioned or investigated in these cases. He urged the court to take note of this negligence by the authorities.

After listening to both sides, the court granted an extension of her interim bail in all 31 cases, setting the next hearing for August 12. The court also directed the prosecution to ensure compliance with previous investigation orders.

This development comes amid several ongoing legal challenges faced by the PTI leadership, as both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi pursue legal relief in multiple high-profile cases.
