Bollywood legend Dheeraj Kumar dies at 79: A star remembered

Indian cinema mourns the loss of legendary actor Dheeraj Kumar, who passed away at the age of 79. According to reports, Kumar was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai and placed on a ventilator before he died during treatment.

Dheeraj Kumar began his film career in 1965 and worked not only in Bollywood but also in Punjabi and other regional films. From 1970 to 1984, he acted in 21 Punjabi films and gained fame for movies like Raaton Ka Raja, Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, and several others.

Apart from films, Kumar was also active on television, playing important roles in many dramas. He further contributed to the industry by establishing his own production company.

His death marks the end of an era for many fans who admired his versatile acting across different languages and formats. The film and television industry remember him as a respected and talented artist.

Kumar’s legacy will continue to inspire upcoming actors and filmmakers, celebrating his decades-long contribution to Indian entertainment.
